Holly Jetter, MS, LPC-A

I am currently accepting new clients via in-person and telehealth.

Hi, my name is Holly, and I was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and the owner of Seagrass Counseling located in Mount Pleasant, SC. I received my Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Charleston Southern University. I am trained in the Gottman Method for relationship therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Brainspotting (BSP), and certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also incorporate Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness in my sessions. I believe in an integrative approach to healing, health, and wellness which includes providing a safe, open, and non-judgmental environment for my clients to work through complex and challenging issues. I am passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and couples gain greater insight and self-awareness within themselves and work towards experiencing greater satisfaction and meaning in their lives. I offer counseling for a wide range of issues such as teen counseling, anxiety, OCD, depression, self-esteem issues, body image struggles, trauma, difficult life transitions, ADHD, and couples counseling.

My approach

I believe each person is unique; therefore, only one treatment plan or approach is unsuitable for every client. Tailoring a treatment plan specific to the client's needs is crucial, which will ensure the best success during their therapeutic process. I will help you find ways to change your thinking and reduce feelings of anxiety, sadness, shame, worthlessness, and guilt. I want you to be able to enjoy the essential things and bring meaning to your life. I want you to regain energy for life and begin feeling like yourself again. I recommend each client to engage in self-awareness, mindfulness, and self-care to promote health and happiness. I teach my clients valuable tools to maintain a positive attitude and learn their strengths. These techniques facilitate the development of a greater sense of confidence and can have a tremendous impact on mental health.

I fight to destigmatize society's view surrounding mental health. Individuals deserve and need a space where they feel comfortable asking for help, and I am actively providing that space for my clients. I encourage raising awareness about mental health conditions to decrease the shame and embarrassment many may feel towards seeking treatment. I practice kindness and compassion for those who are struggling with their mental health.

We all go through difficult times and what truly matters is how we navigate our thoughts and feelings. I am here to help and support you through this therapeutic journey. Contact me today!
